Balder Finland owns and manages numerous commercial properties around Finland. Apex Heat prepared a report for Balder Finland about the possibilities of making both energy investments and smaller measures to improve energy efficiency in some of the properties.

Main findings:

- Heating emissions can be more than halved

- It is possible to improve the energy classes in almost all properties with the help of financially profitable investments and measures
- Balder has good conditions to reach the top 15% in its properties according to the EU taxonomy
- Energy efficiency investments are very profitable and they increase the value of real estate

The analysis was carried out with the help of software and an algorithm developed by Apex Heat, which can be used to provide each Finnish building with an understanding of the most cost-effective ways to improve energy efficiency. In the calculation, the most technically and economically smart measures were modeled per property and, among other things, well fields were simulated for each plot of land in terms of ground heat.
